Stuck on something? We're here to help with all your questions and answers in one place.
No — every booking is for a single, direct route from one stop to another (round trips included). If your riders need to connect between two separate routes to complete a journey, the platform doesn't handle that. We'd rather you know this upfront than find out after signing up — contact us first if this would be a dealbreaker.
Yes — every new company gets a 7-day free trial with full access to the platform, no credit card required. You can subscribe to a plan any time during or after your trial from the Billing page.
Just your company name, address, and an admin email and password. You get your own booking site address (e.g. ourbustrips.com/yourcompany) instantly.
Yes, we do. We'll help you get your routes, stops, buses and seat layouts, drivers, and pricing set up so you're ready to take bookings. There's no setup fee — onboarding help is completely free. Get in touch and we'll walk you through it.
Yes — upgrade, downgrade, or cancel any time from the Billing page's "Manage Subscription" link.
Yes — every subscription payment automatically emails you a receipt with a PDF attached.
Customers pay securely through Stripe Checkout at the time of booking. Payments go straight to your own connected Stripe account — we never hold your funds.
Yes. As soon as a booking is paid, every passenger email on it receives a confirmation branded with your company name and colors, with their PDF ticket attached, their booking password, and a link to view or cancel the booking. If a customer cancels — or you cancel a whole trip — they automatically get a cancellation and refund receipt too.
Yes — the Notifications page lists every email sent for your company (ticket confirmations, cancellation receipts, staff and driver invites and more) with the recipient, subject, full text and whether it was delivered. You can filter by type or show only the ones that failed. If a ticket email ever fails to send, it also shows up on your Issues page so you can follow up. Every new booking and cancellation is recorded in your Event Log as well.
No — we never take a cut of your bookings. You keep 100% of every fare; your only cost with us is your monthly plan. Stripe, our payment processor, charges its own standard processing fee on each transaction (separate from us).
You set the tax label (GST, HST, PST, or whatever applies) and the percentage for each province your stops are in, under Settings → Tax by Province. Tax is always calculated from the boarding point — the province of the stop where the passenger gets on — not your company's address and not where they get off. A stop can only be booked once its province has a label and percentage. Each booking keeps the label and rate it was made with, so changing a rate later never alters past bookings. Keeping your rates compliant is your responsibility; we don't give tax advice.
Yes. Customers see a real seat map for the assigned bus and pick specific seats, with a short-lived hold preventing two people from paying for the same one.
Yes — outbound and return trips together in one purchase, with a single checkout.
Yes — the Trip Searches page logs every search on your booking site, including why it came up empty, so you can spot demand you aren't currently serving.
Add a bus on the Buses page, then use "Configure Seats" to lay out its real seat map — rows, columns, deck, and seat type — with your own seat labels.
Yes — define your own amenity catalog once, then assign amenities per bus. Customers see them as pills on each trip and can filter by amenity.
Yes — a lightweight mobile-friendly app where drivers view their trip manifest, mark passengers onboarded, and get one-tap directions to each stop.
Yes — the Rosters page shows every trip running yesterday, today, or tomorrow with a one-click PDF passenger manifest for each.
A couple of others worth knowing, alongside route transfers above: there's no public API for building your own app against the platform, and no accounting integration (QuickBooks or otherwise) yet. Let us know if either would be a dealbreaker for you.
Yes — write your own refund policy and privacy policy in Settings. Both are shown to customers automatically during booking, on their confirmation, and on the manage-booking page.
Yes — dedicated CSV import screens exist for routes, buses, drivers, and stops. You can also download a route's fares as a spreadsheet, edit them, and upload the changes back at once.
